My interview went well! I think. I met with someone in admissions and a professor in the Business Program. We spoke about the program, the school as a whole, and some about me. I think I kinda bumbled through that part. I'm not great at talking about myself (despite this entire blog, several finished journals, anything my friends or literally anyone who's ever met me will say.) But I think I did alright. I stick to the basics- I'm a writer, Jewlery maker, I've studied business for a long time and I'm excited for the program. I talked about how I've been researching moving to Germany for a while, and I think Berlin is a fantastic option for me. The professor agreed that Berlin is the best city for me and many international students / immigrants coming to Germany for the first time. I was told more about the program and courses. Really excited I could get to take elective courses in other programs. They offer German a1 and a2 as an elective but the admissions lady explained I could take German as an elective OR I could take another course (the professor suggested psychology because business people need to understand other people.) and she could help me get into a low cost specific German language school. Which I love. When I did eventually rant about how I've been dying to move and Touro seems to be my best option, The admissions person seemed really sympathetic. I didn't try to throw a sob story- I didn't- but I did want to explain that YES, I am ready to go as soon as I get that acceptance letter If I am accepted, I've done my research, I'm happy for Berlin, Germany as a whole, and especially Touro. I also asked if the school has any visa / immigrant support- which they do! I explained that I'm in fact ready to do the whole thing indepandantly. To which she laughed and said no, no, I don't need to do anything on my own. They help all students with the visa and immigration. WHICH IS AMAZING. Because I was- am- in fact, ready to do it all on my own. She did explain that I don't even need a visa to move at first. Which sounds even better. Of course I knew US citizens don't need a visa, But I was determined to have one just in case to move. But if ADMISSIONS said I don't need one, then It seems that the way the school will help me move is gonna be MUCH easier. I probably won't need to open a blocked account immediently then. But I have the funds to do so.

I'm still holding my breath. Admissions and the professor seem to like me and agree that I have the right idea about Berlin. There is still a lot to do, too. I am also making appointments with a case manager for the pride clinic. It's a lot of waiting and a lot of paperwork but I think I'm letting myself have a good feeling about it all. Hesitantly.
