FIELD_NOTES_&_OBSERVATIONS

The day dragged. I went to bed at some point in the early morning—well, around 10 am, but I had been up since 5 pm the previous evening. I slept until, again, 5 pm.

Before bed, I got a good start on my long-standing file management objective. Of course, in true manic fashion, I added a few dozen hurdles myself. But I've already almost cleared them and a path to finishing the rest. I have a mini laptop—it's a shitty Android 12 software plastic brick, but it works fine enough for a file safe. I've got a system going for my file organizing as well as utilizing the damn thing on the go. Now to just transfer a few thousand photos into one place so I can store them there and an SSD.

I'm terrified of losing them. People can have my SSN, my contact info, a photocopy of my birth certificate. But I can't lose these photos.

I finally hung out with James. It was nice. It was already dark when I headed for his place which always worries me. I'm an unmedicated schizophrenic; there are precautions I need to take for myself and people around me. I've never attempted to directly harm someone, but people have attempted to help me in the past and I have lashed out. It was a very pleasant walk, regardless. We talked about boring and stressful life shit... I like that we've known each other for long enough now we can also just sit in silence or play on our phones together. He's moving, though.

I have a metal detector. It's not mine, it's a gift for my father. But I have nearly two months to play with it. Maybe I'll take it for a spin tomorrow.
